We’re looking for a Forklift Operation Instructor to join our Maintenance team in Larsboda! You’ll work closely with various departments across locations to ensure forklift availability meets operational demands and that any issues are addressed promptly to avoid disruption. You’ll be asked to take responsibility for ensuring the operational readiness and proper utilization of all forklifts in Larsboda, as well as conducting training and coaching to all forklift personnel within Mathem. This role will be a part of our maintenance team, and provide a great opportunity to learn and develop skills within our automated systems and equipment.

As a Forklift Operations Instructor at Mathem, you’ll coordinate routine maintenance and repairs, manage forklift inventory, and ensure that operators adhere to safety standards. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where tasks arise quickly, and you’ll tackle various operational challenges.

What you’ll do in this role

• Coordinate maintenance and manage service provider relationships for timely repairs

• Ensure that Larsboda have necessary forklift equipment and coordinate procurement

• Ensure operators are certified and trained in safe forklift use Enforce safety regulations and report incidents promptly

• Prepare weekly maintenance, incident reports, and track costs

• Ensure forklift availability and resolve operational issues

• Be the go-to person for any maintenance and service questions

To be successful, we believe you should have:

• Certified forklift license with at least 12 months of driving experience (instructor license is a plus)

• Experience in maintaining accurate records and generating clear reports have great communication with the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience and knowledge within HMS, maintenance and safety

• Strong leadership skills to guide forklift operators and foster a culture of safety and efficiency

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing needs

• Well-organized in keeping track of inventory and maintenance schedules

• Industrial Experience: Experience in a technical role within an industrial setting, demonstrating practical knowledge and skills.

The following will probably be helpful

• Experience in relevant health, safety, and environment (HMS) training, along with a teaching course and forklift instructor certification

• Experience within AGV
