At MatHem we’re all about convenience. We create more time for whatever people love - cooking, family time, exercise, and work. We’re dedicated to creating an outstanding experience for our customers - from planning purchases with your family until the milk is in your fridge. Working with us, you have a rare opportunity to put a positive impact on peoples’ lives. The smile on people’s faces when the groceries are handed over is priceless.

We’re highly ambitious when it comes to product development and we always try to work with modern and innovative new solutions to make MatHem the next big thing within tech. We’re very keen on automated quality assurance to be confident that every piece of the puzzle works as a system. Therefore, we’re now looking for a skilled Test Architect to partner up and help our developers at delivering high-quality code, so that we can continue developing new features to make our customer's everyday life easier!

This is why you should join us!

At MatHem we’re working with pure cloud serverless architecture and modern microservices. We develop new functions in C# or node.js on AWS Lambda, use DynamoDB table that triggers events on updates that other services can consume, and automatically deploy to our test and production environments using AWS CodePipeline. We strive to continuously nurture a curious and forward-leaning approach to software development, evaluating new technologies as well as open source. We have a “you build it, you run it” way to develop and operate our software, which includes developers to develop test automation and deploy the code to production.

You’ll be part of a creative and helpful environment with a lot of heart. Our international environment consists of skilled yet humble people, who love to share their knowledge. When you want a break, there’s probably a colleague up for a game of table tennis or a coffee, or you could just fill your inspiration with the beautiful view of Skeppsholmen. We’ll believe in you and have a great openness to your thoughts and way of working, and we’ll always aim for you to be comfortable being yourself! Due to the current situation, most of us are working remotely and that applies to this position as well until things change.

Working together with MatHem’s agile development teams, you’ll be the key-competence for our test strategy, setting the structure, deciding what frameworks to use and how to work with different test methodologies. It’s an important function for the Development organization, paving the way and helping all teams to maintain and ship high-quality code at a rapid pace.

This is a new function in our tech organization and you’ll report directly to the Chief Engineering Officer.

Who we're looking for:

    • A senior hands-on test architect with an open, lean, and pragmatic mindset
    • 5+ years experience working with test automation and architecture
    • Fluent in C# and AWS
    • Experience in microservices and event-driven architecture
    • Engineering background with experience crafting high-scalability, distributed systems in production environments, preferably in C#/NodeJS
    • A bachelor degree (or higher) in a relevant field
    • A passionate technical interest in test automation and code
    • Someone who likes working data-driven with metrics
    • You enjoy working as a team and shipping high-quality code that is easy to maintain and extend
    • You’re excited to work in a multidisciplinary environment (engineering, algorithms, data engineering/science, product experimentation)
    • You’re are a friendly person that appreciates a healthy tech culture
    • You have a Swedish work permit

...and most importantly, you enjoy developing cool products that make people’s lives easier!

At MatHem we generally use this tech stack:

Working with us, you have a rare opportunity to put a positive impact on peoples’ lives. The smile on people’s faces when the groceries are handed over is priceless.

Right now, we’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Supply chain Domain. The supply chain domain ensures that our customers receive the groceries they want in a high quality and in a timely manner while making sure that our overall supply chain is efficient and scalable to enable growth while keeping our customers happy.

This is why you should join us!

We’re highly ambitious when it comes to product development and always strive to be at the forefront of technology and encourage innovation highly. As the market leaders in online groceries, we’re far from satisfied and always looking for new ways to innovate and improve our product offering. We’re agile and data-driven. MatHem is in a phase where you can make a real impact on our way forward and develop both your skillset and career. In the end, your work leads to cool products that make people’s lives easier.

What you’ll do

The supply chain consists of a few main areas. The “Assortment Offering” aimed to understand what assortment we should offer our customers to become their one-stop grocery shop, the “Projection & Purchasing” algorithms and processes to make sure that we have the assortment available when our customers want to purchase them, the “Warehouse Systems” that makes sure that all MatHem grocery bags get picked with precision and efficiency, and the “Delivery Offering” that matches between supply and demand, making sure that users can choose deliveries that suits their needs (in time, length of intervals and lead time) by MatHem’s fleet of trucks and drivers that brings groceries to their doorstep.

MatHem leads the way in using technology for operating an online grocery business as we transform grocery shopping. There are many new opportunities and challenges to operate and scale the supply chain for an online grocery store, such as:

  • Using signals from users, prediction models, and ML to constantly match between supply and demand.
  • Using signals from users, prediction models, and ML to ensure a competitive assortment.
  • Using signals, prediction models, and ML to ensure lean manufacturing flows and efficient flow of goods
  • Technical integrations with different partners

You’ll work hands-on with the engineering teams, the supply chain teams and will collaborate with other product managers, data scientists, user researchers, and designers to scale the domain. To reach your goals, you’ll also assess whether to build or buy software. You’ll drive your product area from strategy to execution in an agile way of working and will be responsible for your products’ KPIs and impact. You understand how to prioritize the outcome and enjoy having honest priority conversations with stakeholders. You own backlogs and roadmap and work closely with the CPO and management team to set the vision, strategy, and plan.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience: We look for several years of software product management experience, preferably with supply chain, logistics, B2B, business stakeholders, and/or e-commerce. You enjoy working with data and appreciate and understand business processes. It’s a large plus if you have prior experience of integrating different large software systems.

Hands-on: You enjoy interacting closely with engineers, data analysts, and many stakeholders. You appreciate spending time together with your teams, take part in all weekly routines, and do what is required for your teams to perform at the top. You need to understand complex physical product flows to build effective software.

Leadership skills: You have the ambition and drive to take a leading product role in a growing domain. In previous roles, you have demonstrated leadership skills. You understand the value of communication and inclusiveness.

Decisive: We are here to win and we need to move quickly. You are courageous, dare to take decisions, and well-informed risks.

Synthesizing: You are great at clearly articulating problems and needs, based on large amounts of information.

This is not the role for someone who prefers eight hours of chair-sitting per day!

This is what you’ll do

As an On-site IT Support Technician at MatHem, you will join a dedicated and expanding IT team in a company that is constantly improving and breaking new ground. You will be part of a team with expertise in networking, server and client operations, application specialists, and many more fields. You will mainly be based at our facility in Göteborg.

  • Dive deeper in support tickets escalated from 1st-line support, as part of 2nd-line
  • Be part of on-going IT projects or manage your own
  • Manage IT services and server operations
  • Manage workstations, printers, handled computers and other operations hardware
  • Work with network and infrastructure (patching, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi)
  • Be part of on-call rotation
  • You will work independently but still with support from the rest of the IT team

We believe the right candidate could look something like this:

We don’t care how long you’ve worked with different technologies, we are more interested in your actual skill level and what you’ve learned along the way. Some skills/experiences are required to be able to cope with the daily work, others are preferred to excel, but not required.

Required

  • Experience from working with IT support
  • Medium or higher skill level in workstations (Windows and/or Apple)
  • Medium or higher skill level in server operations (Windows and/or Linux)
  • Low or higher skill level in networking and infrastructure
  • Track record of learning new technologies and concepts

Preferred, but not required

  • Experience working with ticket systems
  • Experience working in a production/warehouse environment (in IT or not)
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (bonus points for Astro WMS)
  • Experience with Cisco network equipment (routers, firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi)
  • Google G Suite
  • Active Directory, GPO
  • Server and client automation/management (bonus points for Ansible)

Language skills

  • Swedish, written (intermediate or higher), spoken preferred but not required
  • English, written and spoken (proficient/fluent or higher)

The person who will thrive in the role

  • Genuinely interested in computers and technology
  • Can work in an organized and structured way
  • Responsible and keeps promises
  • Social and service minded
  • Driven and willing to learn new technologies and concepts; curious
  • Must be able to handle occasional stressful situations with ease

Did you know that banana is our most sold grocery? and we deliver over 200 thousand bananas every month! MatHem pioneered and leads online grocery shopping in Sweden. The Swedish grocery market is worth $30B annually and we are going after a large slice of that pie. In comparison, the global music streaming market is worth $19B annually. We are dedicated to creating an outstanding experience for our customers - from planning purchases with your family until the milk is in your fridge. At MatHem you have a rare opportunity to use Tech to put a positive dent in peoples’ lives. The smile on people’s faces when the groceries are handed over is priceless. We create more time for whatever people love - cooking, family time, exercise, and work.

We look for humble people with the ambition to make a large impact on our customers and our company. You will have all opportunities to do so. MatHem is backed by Kinnevik who has a track record of backing companies who successfully transform industries - from media to telco. Our office is and will remain in central Stockholm.

Why Work With Us?

At MatHem we’re working with pure cloud serverless architecture and modern microservices. We develop new functions in C# or node.js on AWS Lambda, use DynamoDB table that triggers events on updates that other services can consume, and automatically deploy to our test and production environments using AWS CodePipeline. We strive to continuously nurture a curious and forward-leaning approach to software development, evaluating new technologies as well as open-source. We have a “you build it, you run it” way to develop and operate our software, which includes developers to develop test automation and deploy the code to production.

Our customers have, rightly, high expectations of speed and quality of our product, from our suppliers to their door. That demands a highly technical backend platform to optimize our supply chain and in the end, so save our customers time and make them happy. You will do this with your team of 7-8 people where five of them are C# Developers as well. In our team we strive for technical excellence for the product goals, keeping an open and friendly atmosphere, and working with the latest & greatest technologies!

Responsibilities:

As one of our Backend Developers, you will develop a high-scalable, robust, and cloud-based platform that orchestrates MatHem’s sophisticated supply chain. Our goal is to have frequent and rapid releases with high quality, engineer the system based on modern techniques with domain-driven design and reactive manifesto, that will be capable of handling the growing market of online grocery shopping.

We have undergone the adventure of going from monolith and on-premise services into pure cloud serverless architecture with well defined microservice boundaries. Therefore, we are very keen on automated quality assurance, to be confident that every piece of the puzzle works as a system.

At MatHem we generally use this tech stack:

AWS

  • Serverless (Lambda & dynamodb)
  • Event-driven (sqs, sns & event bridge)
  • Microservice architecture (API gateway + lambda)
  • Bounded and pragmatic contexts
  • Managed services if no serverless (e.g Elasticsearch)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Cloudformation & SAM)
  • Observability (kibana & cw for logs and datadog for dashboards, alerts, and metrics)

Coding languages (agnostic mindset in general even though .Net Core is the tool for this specific role)

  • .NET Core
  • Node.js
  • Python
  • Angular
  • React
  • Swift
  • Kotlin

GCP

  • Analytics (BigQuery, GA, GO, GTM, and our own data from AWS)
  • ML (we also use Sagemaker in AWS)
  • Datahem

What we are looking for:

  • +5 years of experience in software development where at least three of these years are exclusively in C#
  • Understanding of relational and non-relational databases
  • Basic understanding of distributed systems
  • Ability to distinguish between different communication models in distributed systems
  • Experience in one of the CI/CD tool, such as GitLab, GitHub, or similar
  • Experience in unit testing and mocking
  • Agile way of thinking based on Scrum/Kanban
  • A balanced way of thinking with respect to both technical excellence and business goal

We would also prefer if you have:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS
  • Experience in working with distributed systems
  • Ability to explain complex C# paradigms, for example, thread-safe collections, middleware, expressions, etc
  • Experience in automated acceptance testing for distributed systems
  • You have a Swedish work permit and are currently living in Stockholm/Sweden

At MatHem you will also be part of a creative and helpful environment with a lot of heart. When you want a break, there is probably a colleague up for a game of table tennis or a coffee, or you could just fill your inspiration by watching the beautiful view of Skeppsholmen. The managers will believe in you and have a great openness to your thoughts and way of working.

So… do you wanna go bananas with us?
