This is why you should join us!

You’ll be part of a creative and helpful environment with a lot of heart. Our international environment consists of skilled yet humble people, who love to share their knowledge. When you want a break, there’s probably a colleague up for a game of table tennis or a coffee, or you could just fill your inspiration with the beautiful view of Skeppsholmen. We’ll believe in you and have a great openness to your thoughts and way of working, and we’ll always aim for you to be comfortable being yourself!

As the market leaders in online groceries, we’re far from satisfied and always looking for new ways to innovate and improve our product offering. Mathem is in a phase where you can make a real impact on our way forward and develop both your skillset and career. In the end, your work leads to helping make people’s lives easier!

What You'll Do

  • Lead through craft to create compelling, coherent user experiences
  • Go broad to create multiple design concepts then converge with hypothesis-driven design solutions that drive measurable impact
  • Bring a design perspective to the multidisciplinary approach we have to understand real people’s needs and collaborate with like-minded partners to ship new solutions to the issues we face in our food system
  • Work closely with the brand team to ensure our brand, positioning, and values are expressed in every experience

We Believe You Are...

  • An experienced UI/UX designer excited and motivated to work in all stages of product development - from identifying and framing opportunities - to rapidly exploring concepts - to executing design solutions through the constraints of today
  • Growth orientated - taking failure as a learning experience and brave enough to engage in conflict and passionate discussion
  • A creative communicator and storyteller who looks to find emotive, human lenses in which to frame your work and motivate others
  • Team player - you establish and maintain relationships with the different disciplines. Turning friendship into influence

And lastly…. A doer and your experience speak to that. We’re an incredibly ambitious group who not only want growth for Mathem but also for ourselves. Whilst there’s plenty of opportunities to grow and learn new skills we’ll need you to demonstrate that you can get things done. You're confident with Figma and have been through your fair share of design sprints. At Mathem, you have the possibility to work with the entire product, making both a big impact on our customers and the way we work.

Did you know that we at Mathem are working with pure cloud serverless architecture and modern microservices? Interested in working with a cool innovative product that blurs the line between online/offline and having a direct impact on the end-users by making their everyday lives more comfortable?

We're continually challenging ourselves to build great solutions and develop new features to make our shopping experience more enjoyable. Right now we’re looking for Development Leads to be responsible for our newly started teams working with our Delivery Offering and Assortment Offering.

This is why you should join us!

At Mathem we’re working with pure cloud serverless architecture and modern microservices. We develop new functions in .Net Core or node.js on AWS Lambda, use DynamoDB table that triggers events on updates that other services can consume, and automatically deploy to our test and production environments using AWS CodePipeline. We strive to continuously nurture a curious and forward-leaning approach to software development, evaluating new technologies as well as open-source. We have a “you build it, you run it” way to develop and operate our software, which includes developers to develop test automation and deploy the code to production.

What you’ll do:

As a Development Lead at Mathem, you’ll lead and manage the developers in an agile cross-functional team of talented Engineers, dedicated to creating a world-class experience for our customers with our web, mobile apps, and supply chain. You’ll have the technical responsibility for the software developed by your team, as well as being the line manager.

Depending on your profile (and interest of course!), you'll either lead the Delivery Offering team, responsible for making sure that our customers can choose suitable delivery slots for when to get their groceries delivered to their doorstep by Mathem’s fleet of trucks - or the Assortment & Pricing team, who aims to understand what assortment we should offer our customers to become their one-stop grocery shop!

You enjoy a fast-paced environment and put pride in working effectively and with high quality in all aspects of software development. The Dev Lead works closely with the Product Manager to assess, scope, and define the work for the group. As you’re a passionate developer, you are also expected to be an individual contributor to the team. You understand how to balance velocity versus good design and quality and think test automation is important to maintain quality over time.

Who we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of development experience crafting high-scalability, distributed systems in production environments, preferably in C#/.Net Core.
  • BSc or higher in a technology field
  • You enjoy developing and growing people
  • You have some experience in leading a group of people and understand the importance of building relationships
  • Experience working with microservices and cloud computing (preferably AWS)
  • You understand agile software development and engineering best practices and are keen to advocate these
  • Experience working with CI/CD
  • Experience working with Git
  • Experience in unit testing and mocking
  • Good communication skills, written and orally
  • You have a Swedish work permit

  • Experience working with E-commerce
