Team Lead - IT Operations

Our office is located in beautiful Gamla Stan in Stockholm and we’re now looking for a Team Lead to join our IT Operations team.

You will be part of a team of currently four people, which will grow with additional 1-2 upcoming months. The team has a wide range of responsibilities including Office IT, Operations IT and Network Infrastructure.

As our new Team Lead for IT Operations at MatHem you will have a big opportunity to impact how our IT Operations is organized and structured going forward. We are a fast-growing company, with a lot of cutting-edge technical challenges for IT Operations. You will be part of setting our new technical standard and IT Operations procedures. This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated and expanding team and a company that is constantly improving and breaking new ground.

  • Plan and lead IT Operations work and projects together with Head of IT
  • Facilitate team growth in collaboration with Head of IT
  • Work towards high level of efficiency and automation 
  • Hold daily stand-ups with team and follow up on team activities
  • Monitor and define overall team performance and IT Operations SLA levels
  • Follow-up on feedback from rest of the organization
  • Manage on-call schedule (and also be part of on-call rotation)
  • Manage change schedule / Change Advisory Board 

A part from leading the team on a daily basis, you will also manage other technical work, such as:

  • Setting up and configuring new IT services, servers, network equipment, and client management
  • Handling escalated support tickets as part of third line support
  • System architecture and design

You will split your time as needed between our headquarters in central Stockholm (Gamla Stan), and our two operations facilities in Bromma and Veddesta. As we also have operations in Malmö and Gothenburg, you will occasionally travel there as well (2-3 times a year).

We believe the right candidate could look something like this: 

  • Experience from working hands-on with IT support
  • Experience from defining and implementing work processes and structure
  • Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
  • You have a Swedish work permit and are currently living in Stockholm, Sweden
  • Can work in an organized and structured way and organize your own and other people's work
  • Must be able to handle occasional stressful situations with ease
  • Problem solver who knows how to implement the right level of fixes 
  • Team player but who can also work independently


  • Medium or higher skill level in workstations (Windows and/or Apple)
  • Medium or higher skill level in server operations (Windows and/or Linux)
  • Medium or higher skill level in networking and infrastructure

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience working as a Team Lead, or similar role before
  • Experience working with IT a production/warehouse environment/WMS systems
  • Cisco network and infrastructure equipment (routers, firewalls, switches, wi-fi)
  • Operational IT security (anti-virus, ransomware, intrusion detection, etc)
  • Backup operations and strategies
  • Server and client automation/management
